For a while it looked like the early morning rain was going to wash out our walk to the beach, but then there was a break and we decided to give it a try. And although we had to deploy umbrellas during part of the walk, we made it without getting drenched.

I thought these two photos tell the story.

The top picture is the view across Swanzy Beach Park toward the ocean and the approaching storm.

Below, a scene as we arrived home. I had just taken off my shoes when Romeo marched up the stairs and headed to the door, leaving a trail of wet paw prints.
