We left the house a little later this morning, a few minutes after 6:30 a.m. This got us to the beach in Kaaawa as the sun came up.

And it was quite a sunrise, as you can see.

I didn’t have the optimal camera set-up. I had the full frame 5D, but went light with the compact 40mm lens. This meant framing by moving rather than by zooming. In one of the photos, you can see the sunrise reflected in the classroom windows in Kaaawa Elementary School. In any case, enjoy. And celebrate safely, please.
