Feline Friday: Romeo struts his stuff

Mr. RomeoRomeo welcomes you to another fine Feline Friday!

He’s been getting a workout. In addition to patrolling the boundary to keep the next door cats from wandering through our yard, Romeo and Annie have had to cope with two dogs from down the hill who have created a path up into our yard. They like to romp through, and our cats have learned to take cover. But Romeo is out in the yard more than most, and now has to stay on double alert to keep himself out of trouble.

The two dogs are kind of cute. A somewhat dirty little Shih Tzu, who seems to attack dirt and mud. He is the brains of the duo. Then his older, slower friend tags along for the adventure. Both are usually tired by the time the hit our yard. When I’m around, I know they’re here when the little dogs next door start barking a warning. That’s when I go out and tell them to go home. They look at me, then head down the path throughout the bushes.

Anyway, Romeo doesn’t seem any worse for wear.

Meanwhile…Ms. Annie didn’t show up for “last call” Thursday night, so she’s tired out this morning and already deep into a good nap. I managed to get a pill down Wally last night, so she ate pretty good this a.m. Duke is unhappy about his latest round of food restrictions. Sometimes this brings a retaliatory floor pee, if you know what I mean.

All in all, just another week in the Lind household.
