Welcome to the Saturday version of Feline Friday, necessitated by the disrupted photo schedule caused by Romeo’s emergency visit to the vet late Thursday afternoon.

After a shaky start, the antibiotics seem to be doing their job. The start was rough because Romeo turns out to be very good at letting that liquid goo slosh around until he’s able to expel most of it.

Last night I turned to one of our old cat health reference books. It’s hint: Don’t give liquid medicines in one full dose. Instead, give a couple of smaller doses which are much easier to swallow. And it worked like a charm. A few rewards for Romeo when it was over, and voila! Almost no spillage, and his return trips to the cat box are mostly over. Whew!
