Another treasure: A Bergstrom Music memento

Another little bit of Hawaii history found in my parents’ house in Kahala. Are you old enough to know what it is?

It’s a record cleaner used to wipe the dust off of your records.

Bergstrom was apparently the largest music dealer in pre-WWII Honolulu, THE place to go for musical instruments, sheet music, radios, and likely record players.

I found a good description of the company in a September 1941 magazine. Phillip Kellerman is described as “president and general manager.”
