Fishing at dawn (photos)

It was low tide when we got to the beach in the early morning the last two days.

And there was fishing going on.

The top photo was taken on Thursday morning. We were surprised to see some kind of heron patiently watching for fish in the stream that flows down through Waialae Beach Park to the ocean. Perhaps someone else can identify it.

The lower photo was taken this morning, Friday, as a lone fisherman was silhouetted by the rising sun over Koko Head.
