It’s Feline Friday, but these fine feline fotos were delayed by the broadcast of the University of Hawaii men’s basketball game in the first round of the NCAA tournament. We forgot to tune in when we got back from our early morning walk, but remembered and got there with something like six or seven minutes left in the game. Whew. Great finish.
But now back to the cats. Ms. Kili paid a visit to our favorite vet, Ann Sakamoto, this week. It turns out that she’s doing okay for her 18+ years. Her diabetes appears to be under control, most of her blood tests okay (except for one slightly elevated liver enzyme, which we’ll watch going forward). But apart from that, she’s obviously eating well, and no huge problems.
Well, there is her nose. The growth on her nose started several years ago, and has grown very slowly. It hasn’t seemed to bother her, although she snores a little more than she used to. And trying to surgically remove it would be hard, and even harder given her age. So she’s going to live with it. Hopefully.
Duke’s going in for a checkup next week. After that, Toby will be the only one of the cats needing a current checkup.
If only we had HMSA for cats.
