I’m happy about today’s collection of Feline Friday photos, the best in some time, as I think you’ll agree.

Several things happened. First, I pulled out a lens that hadn’t been selected in a while, and this resulted in more close-ups of the cats. The lens is a 100mm macro for my old Canon 5D ii, now about 7 years old. I recently had to have the camera refurbished by Canon, so it had gotten out of my routine rotation. It was good to have it back in play.

Second, maybe I was around the house more, but for whatever reason there was more feline activity when I had a camera within easy reach.

And then there was Romeo, who spent the week getting into everyone’s business. He cozied up to Duke all week, tried to intimidate Toby, and even came within swatting distance of Ms. Annie. That last encounter luckily took place on our bed while I was there to monitor the situation and keep it from turning into a fight.
