This is a bittersweet photo.

We adopted Lindsey as a kitten in May 1993, after he and his sister were rescued from the parking lot of the Laie McDonalds by daughters of our good friends and neighbors in Kaaawa.

He qualified as “my” cat from the time he was a tiny kitten until the traumatic week when he strutted up our driveway one morning a decade later and never returned.

Lindsey was a very, very satisfactory cat. A fine cat. This picture was taken in 2001, a couple of years before he disappeared.
