Welcome to the first Feline Friday of the new year!

It’s appropriate for Romeo to have the honors this week because he’s been very much in evidence. He was very clingy at the beginning of the week, perhaps upset because we weren’t home on new year’s eve. He followed me around the house all day for several days, either jumping in my lap whenever I sat down, or standing next to me and using his claws to gently remind me of his presence. It took several days before he was finally able to calm down and go back to his normal routine of extended naps through the day, with occasional bouts of playing. He does dig around in the toy basket in order to drag out his favorites. This recent addition, a gift from our cat sitter, was quickly added to the short favorites’ list.
