I was rushing yesterday morning to get Meda to UH and myself to an interview, and in the process forgot to post for Throwback Thursday.
So here’s my somewhat tardy post for the week.
It’s my dad’s brand new 1957 Ford Fairlane soon after he brought it home. It was, as I recall, a big deal for him and for all of us.
At this point, I believe it had been washed, waxed, and pulled up in front of our house for photos. I’ll bet it was the envy of all the neighbors!

One thing I remember about those old 50’s American cars (my dad preferred Buicks) was the enormous trunk space.

The Maui News today announced they are eliminating early morning carrier home delivery service and switching to mail delivery. That means papers will not be read until most people get home from work. Also, eliminated their Sunday paper. They must be hurting.
