Remember Buzz’s? Not the one in Kailua, but the one in Pearl City.
It closed down for good recently, and now everything’s going to be sold at auction this Thursday. You may not need an industrial strength ice machine or walk-in freezer, but I understand that a lot of memorabilia will be among the items to be auctioned. It’s a chance to get a bit of modern Hawaii history.

In Kailua Safeway this morning, I ran into someone I hadn’t seen for a long time. “Did you hear Buzz’s is closing? Can’t believe it . . . they always seem so busy!”
Guess she’s not an iLind reader.
Or she’s thinking of the Kailua location….
