We were living in Kaaawa, and had been walking every day at dawn for over five years. In some ways, it was a totally ordinary morning. Except that it wasn’t. We were rousted from our bed by a phone call from a friend, advising us to get up and turn on our television, probably around 3 or 4 a.m.
We did. Then we walked to the beach.

My son called me early. I sat stunned for over 5 hours watching the happening on TV. Later I thought how totally incompetent the Bush/ Cheney Administration to allow it to happen, unless it was meant to establish acts to circumvent the Constitution and curtail our freedoms via the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, TSA.!
