It was busy in Kahala early this morning. Tour vans were delivering spectators to the Sony Open entrances from parking lots elsewhere in the neighborhood. Others were walking towards the golf course in twilight, apparently aiming to be in place before the first golfers started their rounds. We walked past the restaurant at the Kahala Hotel, where only a few tables were occupied for breakfast. There was extra security visible in various locations, at the park, the hotel, and presumably at the golf course, and we noticed Honolulu police making frequent passes along Kahala Avenue and Kealaolu Avenue.
And what a sunrise!
