Our cats, all senior citizens, each have their ailments. They have slowed way down, and don’t bounce off the walls, or climb the screens, like they once did.

But they seem to enjoy life. Afternoon naps in the sun. Morning naps in our bedroom. Meals served at regular times. A basket full of toys to occasionally dump out and pick through. Sitting in a person’s lap. Sharing the people’s bed at night. Playing the “wake up” game starting about 5 a.m. Simple pleasures.
