I just ran across the class photo of Ms. Fennessy’s Kindergarten class at Punahou School during the 1952-1953 school year.
The only person in the photo I can easily recognize and remember is Larry Olney, who lived directly across the street from our house and also ended up in the same Kindergarten class. We have kept in touch over the years, at least intermittently.
And here’s the class list that my mother carefully typed up, knowing that memories of my classmates would fade sooner or later. She was like that, thinking ahead.
I’m guessing most of my classmates went stayed at Punahou. Larry and I stayed for one more year, then transferred to Kahala Elementary when it opened in 1954.
