I recently ran into this scan of a photo of my sister, Bonnie, with our parents, standing in the driveway of our Kahala home. The year was 1961. It was late in the summer, and Bonnie was heading off for her freshman year at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
My mother and I were also going along, turning the trip from Hawaii to Boulder into a family vacation, with stops to visit family, and national parks, along the way. There was train travel involved on at least a couple of segments, as I recall.
I’m in this photo, but only as the unseen photographer. I “appear” that way in many of my photographs of significant moments.

You appear as a son of your dad; there’s resemblance there.
That house across the street looks awesome!
So it does!
