It’s our anniversary. A big number this year.
Meda and I were married in the Santa Clara County Courthouse in Palo Alto on August 15, 1969 by Judge Sidney Feinberg. We were ushered into his chambers for the brief formalities. It was a very small group. My parents, Meda’s mom, my paternal grandmother, and my brother-in-law, if I recall correctly. I think my sister had stayed at home to put a turkey in the oven.
No bridesmaids, no best man, no one to “give away” the bride. No gala reception to follow, just a small party at my sister’s house. And, as a result, no debt as we were starting out.
Anyway, our 5-0 celebration started last night.
