We were out shortly after 6 a.m., well ahead of the sunrise. We hustled through Waialae Beach Park to the beach, then strolled along the beach in front of the country club and then the Kahala Hotel, now closed. After that, we skirted along the edge of the golf course to reach a spot where we could get down to the beach again, and then continued along the beach most of the way to the Wailupe Peninsula. We passed one person along the way, allowing him lots of space to pass.
On the way back, we ran into several of our canine friends and their people. I have to admit the dogs didn’t maintain proper social distance.
