Your feedback would be appreciated.
I’ll just ask this one question directly: What do you think of the font used for the body text of posts in this particular WordPress theme?
One reader thinks it is too “light” and a little hard to read.
If you have thoughts, please share them. Would you keep it? If not, is there another site that uses a font you’re happiest with? Any other suggestions?
Another immediate change–I’m trying to dump all those Google ads. They did produce a few dollars every year, but not enough to for me to keep them around.
Other changes to come as I figure out how to make them happen.

Hello, font and point sizes don’t matter much because I switch off the portrait function and use the rotation function. That way I can see better quality of point sizes are adjustable.
i like it fine, but I do enlarge things when i cant see them well
Aloha,
Heidi
I like the font but yes too light.
For me, the font is both a bit light AND small, but I turn my phone sideways and that does the trick.
Works for me. Usually, I use a desk top monitor and enlarge the screen. On the cell phone, it’s a bit light.
Fine as is, but a little darker and/or larger would probably be fine, too. But if you decide to go with a larger font, do that before making the font “heavier” because often just choosing a larger font results in a heavier font.
Only recommendation is to stick with a sans-serif style font like you are using now.
Never questioned the font. Works for me and if changes I am sure it will be fine.
i like the font. very readable for me. but, i don’t read on a phone. so, probably good to adjust for that likely majority.
It is a bit light on the phone. I can enlarge also:, but it’s easier to read a whole article without having to enlarge and shift the text around.
I agree it is a little light. A bolder font would be an easier read. Appreciate these considerations for your readers!
Of course you “should” ask … and thanks for asking!!
I’m reading this on a computer (large monitor) and I don’t have any issues with either the font size (could be a function of my default settings, tho’) or the shade. I do have a preference for a serif font for the body text. The sans-serif font is fine for headings and titles. I really like the new (ad-less) appearance. It’s nice and clean. Thanks! I appreciate that you are willing to trade off the $$$ for a cleaner presentation. Mahalo.
I see that Greg (above) spoke up for the sans-serif font so I had to check what the ‘web’ has to say on this. I see that most sources say that sans-serif is indeed the preference for web copy. (Here’s one fairly balanced article: https://www.lifewire.com/body-copy-in-typography-1078253). My background is print publication, and I suppose that’s where my bias for serif comes from … and that’s still my preference (even for online reading). But I’d say I’m in the minority (and showing my ‘age’ as being in the ‘old’ camp ). So stick with what works for you.
Washington Post uses Helvetica, which I find easy to read online.
Fine for me.
In my opinion, it’s too light and hard to read.
Please post it if you figure out how to remove Google ads and all other popup.
They a quite annoying and take a lot of screen space@#$%^.
