Post-solstice dawn and dogs

The sun doesn’t rise at this point in the year until 7:05 a.m., and it will continue to rise a bit later every day for nearly another month. In order to avoid walking in the total darkness, we modify our schedule, leaving later each day to connect with the sun. As it gets later, we find ourselves running into more of our favorite dogs. Hence today’s larger than usual census!

I am trying to finish several posts that have stacked up after falling victim to sudden shifts in holiday priorities. We aren’t attending or hosting parties, but somehow there are unexpected prudential matters that require attending to, which displace writing time. I’ll eventually get to them, but not as quickly as I hoped. But I’m trying.

In any case, enjoy today’s dawn and dogs!

Lolo obviously enjoys going fishing. I think actually catching something is quite rare, but the hunt is obviously very engrossing.

Maybe off topic a bit, but I saw the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction on 12/21 from Koko Head. Sat in a lawn chair in the dark and got a clear view.
