Apologies for missing this week’s Feline Friday

But I have a very good excuse for its absence. Unfortunately, I was, as they say, indisposed. On Tuesday evening, sometime after midnight, I was hit by what appears to have been an old fashioned case of food poisoning. Well, “hit” doesn’t quite capture it. Pummelled, perhaps. Let’s just say my bodily systems revolted over couple of long hours. As a result, I completely missed the Biden-Harris inauguration, and the news that went with it on Wednesday. I missed most of Thursday as well, although by the end of the day I was starting to believe I might eventually return to the living. And I never managed to get the ingredients together for the Feline Friday at least a few of you wait for each week.

This morning (Saturday), though, I awoke early (but after nearly 10 hours of sleep) with a desire to sit down and review news stories on a recent incident that I had been wondering about and cross check against court records. That’s when I knew for sure I was feeling better. I’ll share that information here just a bit later.

In the meantime, I wanted to assure everyone Kali and Romeo are doing fine. Kali has managed to persuade herself that, under unusual circumstances, a cat may sample selected canned cat foods.

Here are just a couple of photos. I should have posted each of them with a dated newspaper in the background to prove they are current, like in one of those kidnapping-for-ransom movies. Maybe next time.

Glad you’re in the pink and bright eyed and bushy tailed (I wish I could get 10 hours straight age is cruel!). Maybe you can wean Ms Kali to the expensive soft stuff, after all, they say hunger is the best sauce!

Glad you’re better Ian but I admit, checking this website many, MANY times throughout Friday and Saturday morning for “Feline Friday” made me feel like an addict desperately looking for my next fix!!

Yes, it was Fancy Feast tuna in gravy. She still prefers dry, but it does provide something she will eat. Romeo, on the other hand, is very happy with the FF, even though he doesn’t really need it. So it goes.

Glad you’re on the mend and very happy to hear that Kali has decided to forego starvation in favor of Fancy Feast… take good care.
