Introducing the Kini Cam

Some time in the last couple of days The Cat Now Known as Kinikini “discovered” toys. I left a red catnip mouse in his room on Day #1. He ignored it, then continued to ignore it. A couple of days later, I added a small tennis ball, one of those thrown for dogs, that we found on the beach. No interest.

Then I visited him early this morning, around 4 a.m. as I recall. I crumpled up a sheet of paper and tossed it across the room. No interest. So after a bit of petting, I went back to bed. Not long afterwards the sound of a cat playing could be heard down the hall.

It happens that I have two security cameras set up in Kini’s room to monitor how he’s doing. The one on the floor caught most of this burst of playfulness. It’s just 2-1/2 minutes. You will definitely want to have the sound on. If you watch closely, you’ll see him switch between the catnip mouse and the ball. Have fun, he certainly was!

Lovely to see Kinikini adjusting to life in your home. Luckily, you are patient and giving him the space to get comfortable and he’s getting there.

Hi Ian, A “Pet Qwerks Cat Babble Ball with Catnip Infused, Interactive Cat Toy” is on it’s way to Hawaii from Amazon shippers (arrives 19Apr @ your PO Box). Ball can be re-gifted if Kini isn’t totally intrigued by it.

    LOL! Such fun!

Try crumpling up a softball sized ball of aluminium foil and see how he deals with it!!

Thanks for the Monday morning fun.
