Feline Friday is on time again!

A couple of days ago, I worried that there wouldn’t be enough photos to sustain this week’s Feline Friday. Luckily, I was wrong. Even without my last minute photos early this morning, that make up the last several shots, there turned out to be plenty.

You’ll notice that both Kali and Kinikini are being nice to Romeo, sitting with him on occasion, and Kali even groomed him one day, spending several minutes licking him. Romeo responds, and seems to enjoy the recognition.

Kali has lost a couple of ounces during week #1 of her diet. If I can put up with the complaining for a month or two, she will be a healthier cat, I’m sure.

One new wrinkle. Kinikini has discovered that there’s something outside the door from the house out into the garage. He managed to get past me on his first attempt, but since the side door to the outside is always closed, he couldn’t escaape. He did a quick run around the car, then returned and I quickly snatched him up and headed back inside. It has been a long time since we had an alert and speedy cat watching for opportunities offered by open doors, and I’m not quite as quick as I used to be, so it’s going to be a challenge if he really works at it. So far, he’s been pretty good since that first escape. He likes to be in the vicinity of the door if we are heading that way, but hasn’t made a run for it. I’m hoping for the best.

Okay, on to the cats!

    Hello Ian,

I love your blog, btw. Much respect to you. My sister has an adopted cat that once lived outdoors. In short, she was wild and she also would bolt outside the house and run away. She did this several times. Eventually, she settled down and is now a very calm and domesticated house cat. It did take some time to get to that point, though. But she made it.
