Two more Miske co-defendants are asking for release on bond

I spent Friday and part of Saturday writing up a post about the two Miske co-defendants who are asking the court to allow them to be released on bail.

But as it got longer, I decided to offer it to Civil Beat instead of using it as a post here. It was posted on CB today– “2 Defendants In Miske Case Want The Court To Let Them Out On Bail.”

Check it out.

Also notice that Civil Beat has a new online look.

My story describes motions filed by attorneys representing John Stancil, Mike Miske’s half-brother, and Jason Yokoyama, Miske’s former employee who later was registered as majority owner of M Nightclub, seeking their client’s release on bail.

Hearings on both motions are scheduled to be held this week.

If I were making odds at this point, I would say Yokoyama has some chance of release, while Stancil’s chances are slim at best.

Currently, three of the current eleven defendants in the Miske case have been released pending trial–Preston Kimoto, Michael Buntenbah, and Delia Ann Miske. Two of the original defendants have pleaded guilty–Hunter Wilson and Norman Akau. Wilson is free pending sentencing. Akau remains in federal detention.
