It was, overall, another good week, as Kali and Bessie continue their feline courtship.
Lots of times spent lurking within reaching distance of each other. An occasional little hiss to establish boundaries, but only if necessary. An occasional bit of chase-chase, ending up with one or the other taking refuge under a chair while the other struts her stuff. And, lucky for us, all pretty good natured.
And even while Romeo declines, the other three cats all come to pay tribute to him. They come over and rub up to him when he cries, lick his head when they’re close, and generally let him know that they are there for him. It’s nice to watch.
Anyway, here come the cats for another week!

So happy to see the assimilation a success. We lost our Getty Googoo the day after Christmas. She was 17 and I found her in her outdoor bed. It appears she had one last mouse before she went as I found a haunch nearby. She was an excellent ratter and we raised her from new borne. We now have 3 male buddies, who wrestle daily and eat us out of house and home.
Feline Friday is the high point of the news week, every week.
Brynn, I’m sorry you lost your elder-kitty.
