This week, I noticed one thing. Usually I have to chase cats for photos, but Bessie comes and poses. She skillfully insinuates herself many times into the week’s photos. After my first selection this week, I had to go back and pick a few more of Ms. Kali, who was underrepresented in the first round. She just doesn’t push herself into our everyday lives in quite the same way. Bessie is a pro at this!

Anyway, the cats got a new toy, and we doctored another one received recently to add to its catnip quotient. The cats were happy!

If one of those toys looks familiar, I’ll just say that it isn’t a coincidence. I don’t think it made any difference to the cats, though.

This week, Kali, Bessie, and Kinikini all got into the chase-chase game in sort of mix-and-match fashion. High speed chases the length of the house were the thing! Sometimes they would return, with chases from the bedroom back to the living room ending with a standoff, a cat under a chair, and the other stalking around just outside. But despite all the action, we still haven’t had any fur-flying fights. We are all very lucky!
