The photos don’t lie. Kinikini was in charge this week. He seemed to be everywhere. Bessie gave ground, with Ms. Kali asserting herself to take second position.
Interesting how things shift week to week.
Luckily, all are in good health.
Bessie stayed out on the kitchen counter to meet friends who came over Wednesday afternoon. She almost acted like a normal cat!!
This cohort retains the wary behaviors that served them well in the Aiea cat colony. Bessie, who wasn’t there long, retains the least of those instincts.
In any case, here come the cats on silent paws.

Dynamics seem to constantly change, by the day, sometimes by the hour. But it’s true, Bessie doesn’t seem as self-assured as she was earlier. For a while, she was queen. Then Kali started strutting her stuff and challenging Bessie for space and attention.
