Here we are, another Feline Friday!
Our inside cats were in fine form this week, as you can see. Bessie is still getting picked on a bit more than we would like, but luckily she seems pretty resilient.
But although the visiting black cat seems to enjoy being petted, it does not want to be picked up, and has managed to avoid being trapped. When I got ahead of things and thought I could just pick him up, I ended up bloodied and he took refuge under the house for a while before reappearing.
So I’m not quite sure how this is going to play out. I still have hope. But it’s proving complicated.
In any case, here come the cats!

Your visitor lets you get right up , huh ? I wonder if it even wants to ‘join the club’ ? As long as the food is good and constant, why ? Looks clean and well groomed.
He’s got hair loss in spots, either through a previous fight or a skin issue (treatable). He’s looking better since getting regular meals. And, yes, he lets me approach, and will then rub against my hand and accept petting, even while he has his nose in a dish of food. But my experiment with picking him ended in painful failure on my part.
That little black kitty sure is a handsome one. Would be great if he could be socialized and adopted by some loving parent(s) one day.
