Feline Friday arrives on silent paws

We’ve only been back about 36 hours, but the cats cooperated in this somewhat rushed version of Feline Friday.

They’re learning about our little trips. Two trips ago, they punished us by staying in hiding when we got back home. They slowly emerged fron hiding but it was nearly a half hour before Kali finally appeared. This time, we walked in the door and there was Kinikini, standing in the hall, staring intently at us and almost immediately trotting over our way. Bessie was on a chair in the living room, and she hopped down and came around past the deck doors. And Kali was right on Kinikini’s heels. All three were there within 30 seconds. It’s nice to not be ignored!

The first photo in this set shows Kali and Kinikini just a minute or so after we came through the door. Bessie was actually on the floor behind the chairs, toward the deck.

Kinikini has been amazingly hungry for human contact and petting. Put another way, he’s been a pest since we got home. It’s one o those “be careful what you wish for” situations. As I type this, he’s walking back and forth across the keyboard, rubbing his face on my beard, licking and then trying to bite my arm, all the while purring loudly.

So it goes.

And now, the cats.
