We got home Wednesday night, and I knew the Feline Friday deadline was already close at hand.
The solution: Photo Thursday!
Bessie got lots of attention from our cat sitter, so she was perfectly happy when we got home.
Kali and Kinikini had an attention-deficit, since they mostly stayed in hiding while we were gone. They have been sticking close to us since we returned, trying to make up lost time.
Kini gave me a good nip on my arm yesterday after I apparently failed to give him full attention. It’s been that kine of welcome home.
In any case, here come the cats!

News outlets in Hawaii are writing about all the feral chickens in urban areas, but without mentioning the possibility of bird flu. If it gets into Hawaii’s bird population, it may get into humans and outdoor cats. You probably did your cats a greater favor by rescuing them from a cat colony than you might think. Anyway, Oahu needs to get its chicken population sorted out.
