Unexpected humor: “I going lick him in the face”

Sometimes there’s even a bit of humor to be found in the Miske case files.

For example, this is an excerpt from a legal memo filed by prosecutors which includes a WhatsApp chat between Miske and “JS” where Miske as directing “JS” to assault the owner of a pest control company competing with Miske’s Kamaaina Termite and Pest Control.

The person identified as JS appears to be Jacob “Jake” Smith, who has pleaded guilty to being “on call” to assault people when directed by Miske, as well as other offenses.

Here’s the way it was summarized in a legal memo filed by prosecutors.

In another exchange on the same cellular telephone, filed as Exhibit E, the same cooperator and Mr. Miske discuss plans to assault another victim who owned a rival termite company. Mr. Miske sends a picture of the victim, his name, and instructs the cooperator to give him a couple of slaps if he sees him. Later, the same cooperator responds that he will kick the victim in the face if he sees the victim, to which Mr. Miske responds, “Yea!!”

But, like many exchanges of text messages, it didn’t go quite that smoothly.

Here’s the exchange that took place on the evening of July 6, 2018.

JS: Why the fuck is this guy talking shit

JS: What is he saying

Miske: I called him tryna be nice tryna lure him to me three emoji smiley faces.

This faka I not scade of you mike. Fuck you mike. Three emoji smiley faces

but dis fucka no like meet.

JS: Lol never heard of [company]

JS: wyd

Miske: Bay

JS: Raj if I see him at the fights I going lick him in the face

JS: Kick

Miske: Yea!!

JS: Yup

Knuckle dragging henchmen were never known to be the sharpest knives in the drawer. Just think, if Miske ran a tighter ship with better personnel, he wouldn’t be having an issue with so many of his goons flipping on him!

Someone had a billing dispute several years ago regarding some work done for Miske. Luckily that guy didn’t raise a big fuss. He might not be here today.

I view this as pathetic. But funny at the same time. I am seriously wondering, would this case see the light of day without Civil Beat covering it? And how many other ‘operators’ threaten the lives of ordinary citizens of Hawaii?
