Whew. I made the Feline Friday deadline again, with a little cooperation from the cats yesterday.
I had to throw Kinikini out of our bedroom before midnight last night after he decided he needed to wake me up for some reason. He usually doesn’t start this until 4:30 a.m. or later, and that’s a big difference. I didn’t smell smoke, and they had been fed, so I tossed him into the hall and closed the door. Yes, I felt bad, since he normally sleeps in my legs every night. But not bad enough to wreck a night’s sleep.
I have to report on Kali’s growing presence. Yesterday I got out a dangling toy to entertain Kinikini, and Kali heard the sounds of playing and came running out of her room. As she ran up parallel to Kinikini, she let out an excited little cry, and Kinikini’s reaction was to cringe in preparation for a swat in the face. She didn’t hit him, but he obviously has learned that she’ll stand her ground.
No more bullying of her, it appears. Good job, Ms. Kali.
Anyway, here come the cats!

What do you suppose was the problem with Kinikini ? So all night he was denied the bedroom? Nice furniture. Looks like all koa !
I feel your pain. Only our Buttercup is allowed to sleep with us. Cooper is horrible as he drools and nuzzles my neck. I love your images of Kinikini’s tongue
Last photo: Kali catching some rest but with one eye open, just in case! 😀
