I’ll be bogged down today and probably tomorrow as well. It’s tax time, so TurboTax and I will be trying to complete our federal and state tax returns. Hopefully I won’t run into any real problems.
I happened to notice another news story this morning about useful things to do with ChatGPT, and decided to ask a couple of questions and see what this AI system would come up with. The results were interesting.

Hey, wait! Where’s the insightful rebuttal?
Your blog is perfect. We are so lucky to have a journalist like you. No changes necessary !
Don’t change anything!
Definitely w/o warmth. Can suggest you into a robotic mold.
Young people will adopt, loosing a whole lot of creative and individual thinking.
What would be engaging would be— Comments: Like, Reply
Hey, You’ve got politics, genealogy, pix and videos of cute cats & doggies (a personal shout out to the Divine Ms. P aka Pepper the terrier), stellar scenic views, travel pix, personal reviews on eateries what’s not to like?? Also if we ask you nicely you let us borrow a pix or two (that’s one of the interactive parts). Their review of your blog reeked of bland computer talk. Besides you had a cat video that went viral on youtube. On a personal note I was on Bing the other day and they offered me a sample of testing out the picture creating feature. I got a number of people with 7-8 digit hands, I made a lot of Washington state references (Fife, Wishram, & tribes) and got a Scottish , middle east, and old white women pictures. I should have told Bing in my feedback since Microsoft is based in Redmond WA they should have picked up it on but I think they chose to take a more universal generic picture take. On the plus side if you put in Peter Max & Carvaggio inspired then you got some pretty fun picture response!
Other than agreeing with all of my comments, don’t change a thing!!
I imagined a robot voice doing the talking. Your ‘output’ is compelling. I agree with all above who say, ” Stay the Course ” and just keep doing what you do. ” WE ” like what you do and how you do it. Heck, because of you, I support Civil Beat. WE really support you in all you do.
Interesting, but I find Chat-GPT scary. Did you hear about the incident in which Chat-GPT lied to a person and got that person to solve a CAPTCHA?
I doubt AI could editorialize or opine that iLind writing shows great courage .
At least in my thoughts.
The Mike Miske investigative reporting comes to mind.
