All three of this generation of cats were adopted, one by one, from a cat colony near the top of Aiea Heights on the other side of Honolulu.
Each one was recommended by one of the people who care for the colony, selected because they were friendly and appeared to be ready to transition to being house cats.
We lucked out. All three cats have become excellent cats, each with their own unique personalities.
Kali was the first, a calico with markings around her nose and mouth. Kinikini, the big orange tabby, was next. He’s under the illusion that he’s the alpha cat, although Kali, believed by some to be his mother, can put him in his place. And Bessie, calico #2, is just a sweetie, and gets bullied a bit by both Kali and Kinikini.
So it goes in our feline-centric household.
In any case, enjoy another Feline Friday!
