Back home

We saw some beautiful spots over the past week, but nothing like our regular morning views!

I should say that our United flight from San Francisco arrived about 7 minutes early, and we were home before 8:30 pm.

Our cat sitter barely caught sight of Kinikini and Kali in our absence. They mainly hid from her, reverting to their more wild cat colony days. Bessie filed the void, and apparently ended up with more than her share of the food while we were gone. A few extra ounces were added, for sure.

But when we unlocked the door and walked into the house, both of them were right there waiting for us, and both were demanding a lot of attention. That continued through the night. Both Kali and Kini slept with me, a very unusual occurrence. But by the time we finished our coffee and fruit this morning, they were getting back to normal, and have both now retreated into the normal cat nap routines.

Hopefully I’ll get caught up and back to regular blog posts soon.
