Our early morning walk was spiced up by a bunch of our favorite dogs!
A few things of note. Welcome Jackson, who recently moved from the mainland with his family. He’s a mini Australian sheep dog. What a looker! He has so far declined our dog treats, but ran to greet us this morning. He was having a great time playing with that toy, whether chasing it or playing tug-of-war with it. He hasn’t yet joined in with the whole gang, but we’ll see.
Poppy isn’t a newcomer, but we haven’t seen her in quite a while.
We were on Sugi’s schedule today, after not seeing her much recently. That was a treat.
Jake and Pua put on quite a show. They’re about evenly matched. Jake is just over a year old, weighs in now at just under 11 pounds. He has outgrown his official Toy Poodle measurements, at least by a small amount. Pua, the little Yorkshire Terrier, is almost five months, and she’s already 8 pounds. At some point, I noticed that Jake was trying to pick up and carry Pua’s leash. Jake has the yellow leash, while Pua’s is red. And Jake wanted to grab and carry Pua’s red leash while she ran around. As I say, it was quite a show.
Pua seems to be signalling with those ears. One up, one floppy.
Anyway, this was how our day started.

Great early morning Hawaii pictures. Love the new dog. Intense stare. Thanks for these!
“Intense” is kind of an understatement for Jackson’s look! He almost looks like a cartoon character. But he is very, very sweet.
Pepper looks like she stole Sonny Bono’s 1960’s vest (I got you babe!). Still cute going into her senior years!
