For those who enjoy such things, here is my favorite photo from this morning’s early morning walk to the beach, where we always enjoy meeting some of our favorite dogs.

That’s Jake, a slightly-too-large-to-be-a-toy Poodle who is now more than a year old. This was toward the end of his walk, during which he had played hard with Pua, a six-month old Yorkshire Terrier.

I just happened to catch a moment when all of Jake’s four feet were off the sand as he pranced along the beach. It says a lot about the spirit of this little dog.
