From the outside, the trial of former Honolulu business owner, Michael J. Miske Jr., seems to be moving at a glacial pace, nearing the end of its third full month with months yet to go. But every day is packed full of new witnesses, new incidents being described, new evidence being introduced, and the seeds of new arguments being planted.
Without any insider knowledge about upcoming witnesses, it’s hard to know in advance when significant testimony might be coming.
One of the things I keep track of are supplemental exhibit and witness lists filed in court by both the prosecution and defense attorneys.
Miske’s defense has filed its 35th supplemental exhibit list.
The government just dropped its 14th supplemental exhibit list.
And, if this latest from the government is an indication of testimony “coming soon,” then things might be heating up.
Among the items on this latest list are several involving Jonathan Fraser, whose disappearance and alleged murder are among the most serious allegations Miske faces.
As you look at the dates, keep in mind that Fraser was last seen alive on the morning of July 30, 2016. At the time, Fraser and his girlfriend, Ashley Wong, were sharing an apartment with Delia Miske, who had been married to Miske’s son, Caleb, who died at Queens Hospital on March 12, 2016. The apartment was reportedly paid for by Mike Miske.

Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but is it normal for a father to have his daughter-in-law as an authorized user on his credit card? I remember hearing rumors that Miske was involved with his daughter-in-law, but then that could be coloring my impressions.
I am deeply thankful for your continued in depth reporting on this case, thank you very much Ian and team
