I headed to bed early (the clock doesn’t lie), and soon I realized that I was not alone.
Ms. Kali, our senior calico, was the first to climb on board and settle down on me. That got my attention. But when I opened my eyes, I saw that Kiko was already in place at the foot of the bed as well.
And it wasn’t long until Kinikini walked across me and began settling down. At that point, I reached for my phone and caught this picture.
We were still still there an hour later when Meda finally finished the movie she was watching and joined us.
The watercolor by Juanita Vitousek, in the background on the left, features the fishpond at Hakipuu. To the right, the Nuuanu Pali by Jeanne Robertson.
