On the street: A Wake-up call

It’s time to stop the wars. In Iraq, Afghanistan, and the war-being-pushed in Iran.

Although this message was taken to the streets, I’ve heard it from a lot of Democratic delegates.

We’re Democrats, we’ve elected Democrats to governorships and to Congress, and they haven’t necessarily delivered the results we want.

There are a lot of Democratic activists here who want to hold our party leaders to account. The choreographed convention spectacle may look like the party faithul are in lockstep with the leadership, but there’s a lot of restiveness in the ranks.

So street calls for accountability are, in my view, getting a warmer reception from the party’s rank and file.
