Okay, perhaps I’m exaggerating just a bit, but it is very chaotic here at the Colorado Convention Center. It’s about 12:30 p.m., there are several caucuses starting soon (Rural, Senior, etc), others finishing morning sessions.
I wanted to check out one that is downstairs in a large meeting room. The giant directional signs overhead pointed to stairs, but when I got there several security guards jumped forward. “Can’t go down these stairs.”
Okay, where can I go down. They seemed almost surprised by the question.
Finally: “Stairs on the other side.”
So I went off to the other side of this huge lobby. Found the stairs. And found four large security guards blocking them.
I never did get close enough to find out exactly what was up, or down, with access to that lower lobby.
That’s one thing I’ve had to learn. There are hidden rules within hidden rules and you’ve got no choice but to go with the flow.

This should not really surprise anyone that even in a country where we are “free” there are times when limits have be put on us for whatever reason the “powers to be” think are necessary.
Maybe some tidbits will come forth from this secured meeting.
And maybe we are becoming a police state…and we need to question the ‘security’ more openly.
I’ve been to many protests in large cities. The amount of police presance in Denver seems far beyond what is necessary. people always bring up the issue that is for the protection of citizens and protestors…it is not to protect protesters…police are much more scary then the anarchists.
“even in a country where we are “free””
Huh?! We are?
