Meda was a little ahead of me when we got to the end of the beach this morning, so she was the first to see the find of the day. It’s a glass fishing float about the size of a tennis ball. We’ve found three during 2008 after several years where they were extremely rare.
The possibility that one might float ashore at the right time for us to find it adds a little edge of anticipation to every day, although it also means a little tinge of disappointment on 99 days of every 100.
