It’s Friday. Time to end the week with calming images of yesterday’s sunrise in Kaaawa.

Click on this photo for a few more views. The layer of vog hanging over the island enhances the experience of dawn’s colors.

For the morning photos, I was using a Canon G10 camera, which produces excellent results on this type of subject.

And, after that, here come the weekly cats.

Romeo was missing in action last week, but he’s back. He posed specially for this portrait, just to allay any fears out there. And he shows up in several more of this week’s feline fotos.

I think all the cat photos were taken with my new Canon 5D II at less than its maximum resolution.
