Before getting to today’s cats, check out Slobberspace, a dog blog by Bay Area photographer Anna Kuperberg. Great pics, great dogs!
Please don’t forget to pass the word about Mr. Kika to your friends. He needs to be rescued!
And now, Friday’s cats. This is Ms. Harry, also known as Harriet, zonked out in our living room. Harry is the only survivor of a litter of four that we rescued back in 2000. Our good friends took two of the kittens and we took the other two. Lizzie disappeared in 2004 after repeatedly running away. The two others did likewise. But we’ve managed to keep Harriet with us, and she shows no signs of wanting to flee.
But writing that paragraph made me realize that she’s almost ten years old. I don’t think of her as an older cat, but she’s getting into that territory. In fact, our whole tribe is aging. Kili and Wally were born in December 1997. You do the math. Silverman was a young adult when he joined the household in 1999. Our vet thought Romeo was at least five years old when he took up residence here in 2005. Annie is the youngest, and she’s nearly six.
Anyway, please click on Harry’s photo for more Friday Felines.

huh? is it me or you? Do you mean Harry’s or Annie’s pic? Do you mean the 2 others fled or 1 other fled (leaving Harry)? This post didn’t make sense.
Lizzie, the other kitten we took home along with Harry, finally disappeared, as did other two which had been adopted by our former neighbors. So Harry is the only survivor among the four original kittens. And yes, you’re right, that’s Harry’s photo. My bad.
i like your two small cats because they remind me of my cat, who is a small cat… does annie also get picked on?
Kili is really pretty! I think my Lao Hu, the Yellow Emperor, would like to marry her. Or at least take as a concubine?
That photo with Kili and the peacock is crying to be on ‘icanhascheezburger’ … with appropriate comment, of course!
