Just click on Mr. Romeo’s photo for this week’s Feline Friday photos. He’s doing a fine imitation of a Kliban cat, isn’t he? And I’m sure it’s just the camera angle that makes him look so, well, substantial. Cameras do that, don’t they?

For the second time this week, I dragged myself out of bed at a very early hour this morning, made my way in the dark to the bedroom door, down the hall to the bathroom, then turned on the light to find a large rodent had been dispatched and left in the shower. It’s not really a great way to start the day, and I haven’t dealt with it yet. I still have to clean up the mess. Soon.

The crazy thing is that it’s not our hefty cats like Romeo that are doing the hunting. I believe these two big rats have been the work of Ms. Annie, the tiniest of our eight cats. And she’s the one missing from this week’s Feline Friday photos. She does all the heavy lifting and then can’t even get proper credit. Well, I did pause to take a picture of the earlier rat, with Ms. Annie in the background, as I carried it outside to dispose of, but I doubt many of you would appreciate the image.
