Duke turns out to be the star of this Feline Friday.
He was front and center on another afternoon tour of the yard. I think you’ll agree that he is looking pretty good.
The only thing is that I haven’t been able to get his weight down under 15 pounds. He’s on a pretty strict diet, but he weighted in last weekend at almost 16 pounds again. He gets a quarter cup of dry food, morning and evening, with an extra tablespoon snack, measured out in the early morning. And he still gained those few unwanted ounces…
But the diet is working for the other cats. Romeo has lost a full pound, actually just over a pound. On Sunday, he weight 18.2 pounds, down from 19.3 at the end of August.
Toby was down to 15.9 from 16.6 pounds. Ms. Kili dropped from 15 pounds to 14.4 pounds. Silverman has bounced up and down around 16 pounds, but on Sunday he weighed in at 15.6 pounds.
Meanwhile, Wally (12.4 pounds), Harriet (10.1 pounds), and Annie (8.4 pounds) have been pretty stable. They are not on the diet.
In any case, click on Duke’s photo for the rest of today’s felines.

Once again, a lovely clutter of cats to start the morning with!
I am curious how you are able to weigh them so accurately. Do you have a cat scale, or do you pick them up and weigh in on a human scale?
We bought a baby scale. Found it on Amazon for an okay price. The cats don’t seem to mind it much. Picking them up and weighing person + cat on a regular bathroom scale didn’t ever work.
Weighing person plus cat on a human bathroom scale…is that like taking a shower with the cats?
Stop with chocolate mousse.
It works every time.
