Saturday morning, and time to slow down and enjoy a bit of Kaaawa, our little community along the windward coastline of Oahu. We’ve now lived here for 22 years. Lots of families have been here longer. It’s not uncommon to have several generations of a family living along the same street.
It makes for a real sense of community, something that is becoming a scarce commodity.

Very rural! It looks idyllic. But, I sure don’t like the commute. I prefer to live in Honolulu.
The commute from Mililani or Wapio is longer at many times of day!
