Ah, welcome to another Feline Friday!

Mr. Toby and our other seven cats all send their greetings, although Annie and Ms. Wally were camera shy and don’t appear in today’s Friday fotos.

We’ve had Toby back on a diet in recent months, and he’s ever so slowly losing a few ounces. It’s been enough so far that his “personal hygiene” has improved, meaning that he’s no longer so rotund that some private parts were out of his reach.

Duke has proved a harder case. He is a major food hound. He gets fed separately, down the hall in our bedroom, in order to control his intake. But Duke is highly skilled at quickly tracking down any leftover food as soon as he gets out of the bedroom if I am not meticulous in removing anything left by other cats. And, since each cat seems to eat at their own individual pace, it’s a hard thing to coordinate. Some like to graze, eat a little, take a break, eat a little more. Others sit down and eat their fill, and are done with it.

Toby is also a scavenger, but he’s far less effective than Duke.
