A dramatic start to Meda’s birthday

Gusting winds and the threat of rain greeted us this morning as we stayed on our regular early morning schedule to celebrate Meda’s birthday.

Actually, we’ve been celebrating since last weekend, when we snuck off to Maui for two days to visit with old friends from Canada. Today’s weather looked dramatic, delivered a couple of rainbows, but we managed to finish the 3-mile walk without significant precipitation.

“At least it’s not snowing,” Meda correctly observed.

  1. my 2 cents

I just saw this photo after reading the Civil Beat article on how Lingle’s coffers are flush. That situation is ominous for Hirono, and this picture is the picture of ominousness!

There is a disagreement about whether Hirono can beat Lingle, and there is Cases’s assertion that he can. Could you identify and run the numbers, and tell us what you think in a post sometime soon? Also, tell us what you think about the election in general, and what it represents. For me, these are yesterday’s people.
